Not in anyone’s interest to change the mining code at this early stage. Burkina Faso totally reliant on foreign expertise and capital to get these mines built and producing. No guarantees of course, but given BF’s lowly GDP and annual income per capita, their interests are served, at this moment, by attracting foreign investment not making it less appealing.
