Yes I read that update from B2, Fekola certainly looks like a tier one asset. It was a different market when B2 acquired PIR, very little buying competition for quality assets and smaller companies couldn't get funding for development.
Fair point about the extra capital for drilling. If they discovered another M1 South it would be worth it. I'm no geologist but my thinking is that the law of diminishing returns might apply from putting on extra drill rigs past the 6 (I think) they already have. Earlier stage exploration activities (geophysical surveys etc) seem to be the focus and they should be sufficiently funded for those.
If WAF develop the project themselves then the financing arrangements will hopefully be flexible enough that they can keep exploration going during construction. That approach is helping DCN.
Whenever they raise capital I want them to do it into strength not weakness.
