This is a little off topic but since it was raised here is my quick response. Santos said Winchester had a significant outcome with a couple of commercialisation options. Go to the Santos website media centre. Winchester is likely to be part of a bigger project including Bianci and possibly other gas fields. Santos stated Winchester had excellent sands with a good net pay. I don't believe Winchester was ever slated as never likely to be progressed.
