They havent missed a date yet. This is tracking much better than I anticipated.
They also must feel the design is of sufficient quality to move off wafer to chip now without waiting, so optimisation must be proceeding well.
Rendered in silicon, in a form that can be used and tested and tyre kicked by potential partners.
I am not so excited by the university neuromorphic bit, that is just a distraction right now.
