it does not have to be 10 years. if this works for unis then straight away it would would be useful for student laboratory experiments with AI and other branches of computer science and engineering. it will be a scenario where every year students will have to buy their own chip for laboratory programming exercises. AI programming is already part of the computer science curriculum since late 90s.

when i was an engineering student in the early 2000s, we had to buy programmable chips for use in robot soccer and other activities. on the assumption that mass production will not be too expensive as it is using silicon oxide, this could be the chosen chip for AI programming used by schools and universities. the possibilities are quite broad in terms of academic application in high school to post grad levels.
