Yes, It's hard to know exactly what the format of those chips are until they produce the specs for it. Looking at the picture it sure doesn't look like an 8-pin 1Mb flash chip!! Looks like a lot of pins(120?) to figure out what to do with! So maybe a lot more in those chips than just flash memory!?
