If you have a phone in your pocket it will be over 40 degrees. Even charging will take it up to 50.
Whether it is on or off is irrelevant.
Your photos and music etc will be corrupted after 5 years or so unless the files are rewritten.
Look at all off the other reram cos; 4ds, crossbar etc and the retention figures they quote.
IMO we are not targeting flash replacement is that the data retention figures are not yet up to scratch.
