What a great announcement, a little surprised the s/p response wasn't a touch more responsive to the magnitude of the announcement, although I guess there may be those who think one swallow doen't make a Summer.
Like you, I was surprised at the number of small trades and the negative impact it was having on the s/p. I wonder what the result may have been if the announcement was made mid week as oppposed to end of week, am I clutching at straws trying to justify the drop in sentiment?
If you get the chance www. openbriefing.com has the tape of Terry Chapman speaking to the announcement, and his thoughts on any future successes wds may have, and in particular the need to ensure that if they are successful, they will only accept any future contracts if they are able to meet customer demands, i.e infrastrucure, personnel etc.
Nonetheless I hope this announcement is the springboard to reward, particularly for us long suffering investors. Don't know about you mate but can only speak for myself when I say it was with a wish and prayer that I kept topping up when the s/p was languishing mid to low 30's. Not that my top up's were anything huge, but still it is nerve wracking watching decline and then hitting the buy button.
