I dabbled with WDR back in 2009 - bought in at around 9c and got out at around 20c. Made a nice little profit then watched them climb to over $1 in 2011. Consoled myself by remembering Rockerfeller's famous saying .."people tell me I am stupid - I always buy too late and sell too early, but I always make a profit. However, you can't go broke making a profit."
One of the directors approached me in 2012 offering me the opportunity, as a "sophisticated investor", to participate in a CR at 70c per share. Something in the back of my mind was telling me that there was something not quite right with the Company, so I declined the offer. Now, I am not saying that I have any great expertise in determining which speculative juniors are going to make it or not, but sometimes your gut feeling is your best friend when it comes to money matters.
I truly feel for those who appear to have lost a considerable amount of money as there but for the grace of God go I. I can only hope that those responsible for the fiasco are held to account.
