This is interesting as it appears that perhaps the requirements for disclosure and other obligations for the entrants would have compromised future commercialization prospects, for a measly $1.5m prize.

This may show that the management does not believe there is any necessity for this low level of financing when commercialization is at hand and finance easily obtainable.
