- allows technology to be demonstarted to the world and specifically to iceland which has large geothermal resources
- likely has made aquisition on attractive terms (asset currently not producing, in house team and technology, possible off the shelf unit from china can be used)
- likely first step in exploiting the low heat resources in Icland - first mover advantage
- sympathetic industry focused bank
