I agree with your comment "It would have been nice to have this announcement prior to the Cahill one".
But I don't think this model/hypothesis was formulated then.
I see it as a developing model changing with new data.
I also get the impression that the 3D mapping of the IPs is inclusive of all the new info from drilling etc.
In other words, it is all "a work in progress" of searching, obtaining new info, fine tuning and then "go again."
Such a model/hypothesis depends just as much on eliminating targets as hitting targets. If that is the case they will "sooner or later" find the motherload.
