I'd like to think that most BRM holders are smart enough to make their own decisions without being influenced by the Board. The fact that there have been very few acceptances to date pretty well sums up what investors are thinking.
Interestingly, the WNI share price in HK has dropped to a new 12 month low. Investors there perhaps thinking that the takeover bid is not going to succeed? Boy, some of Wah Nam's mates must be thinking what a great deal they got early last year transferring their BRM shares for Wah Nam scrip at HK $1.50 - only to see if fall to a third of the price. Not exactly making a compelling case for current BRM holders to accept the Wah Nam scrip.
