    Hey kiwi,
    Im probably rambling too..
    I like your post...

Some posters said that CUE should be indifferent to any deal because they state that Artemis will be drilled with or without a further MEO deal, so it doesnt matter to us?

This is true that Artemis will be drilled regardless of any deal, MEO signaled this in its latest placements
    -->
    BUT,
just like MEO, we too need a strong partner with expertise, and exactly what big oil can offer us interms of derisking technical risks.....
therefore, any deal is crucial to us what happens after we discover (if)...

This is why I laughed at the MEO thread when Clive Palmers turned up to join the party last time around...On the MEO thread they didnt seem to comprehend that Palmers was bad because he had no oil background and provided nothing more than a cash backing...
Cash backing is only part of the criterion we require...
having big oil is more important than a cash backing, because MEO can/will fund the well for us upon no deal anyway...
so, on this basis having pockets doesnt mean anything to CUE...
    ...
CUE is in the position it is today because of our partners (JV), and where THEY have gotten us..
CUE have used countless placements of OUR money to do it...
    Coppins Aint getting any younger...
so do something proactive my friend...
Coppins is Good... Look at our arsenal...

Now, and for the first time in decades of its listing CUE has oil money instead of placements.....
These sorts of placements hound small oilers...

it really is one of the key reasons why CUE is still so sluggish...
    ...
    ..
    .

It just seems that so much time is being spent talking about Artemis and WA when if you look at CUE, WA is only a small small part of the company...
You could split CUE into 4 seperate parts, 1) 2) 3) are more closer weightings and Indo 4th...
heres in order of my preference

I have listed in order my preferred
    =1)PNG
    =1)Taranaki
    3)WA
    4)INDO

And yet WA is the only part in our portfolio that holds no real, or physical assets/proven reserves...
    ...

Why does this process in the market place happen?
why is the CUE thread quiet, and then a huge uptick in posting when exploration drilling comes...?

It is soley to do with the risk nature of Hotcopper posters, and that they predominately live on the wild side...
this speculation only makes up a small part of the market, it seems common practice st HC...

Therefore we have to post as a community, and share all aspects and snippets of the company with respect...
If you want to post about Artemis WA, then do it under an appropriate heading, if you want to talk Maari, then post under a Maari header...

the drillbit does the walking, the posters do the talking.....

    ...
    ..
    .

we need some Explor luck, apart from huge appraial success (manaia), M2A, and development success... we have had poor explor results in 20 years...
Most of our reserves were all paid for by cash Maari, PNG, and Cash Maple...
Now is time for us to hit something big... We have gone through the ropes, and built up a tidy company, now we need to take it to the next level... CUE has spent its time doing its apprecientship... Companies come and go, market crashes come and go... all CUE does is builds and survives...
and the company looks, and is in the best position its ever been in...
so Bring on Artemis, and Barikewa...
We deserve abit of luck, because to date, this has not been luck... this has been shrewd investments by the Company...
and PNG is going to be a key driver in SE asia for LNG...

All i can do is continue to sit up the back of the bus and laugh at how the market is valuing comparable companies...

TAP is probably the most comparable oiler to CUE on the ASX...CUE still looks heavily discounted....
    but why?

we have gone through it all before...

    Its the management team?
    "they suck at promoting"...
or its the fact that they fail to announce...
or its the debt (but that shouldnt matter because of what I said before about debt creating leverage for the firm)...
    ...or its market forces...

but WHY WHY WHY<<<<< 30 CENTS COME ON>>>>>

MAYBE ITS TIME TO LIQUIDATE THE ASSETS AND DISTRIBUTE THE
PROCEEDS... IF WE SOLD UP WE WOULD GET 30CENTS PLUS, AND THATS STILL A STEAL ON A GREAT JUNIOR OILER WITH A PATH TO BIG OIL...
    standard oil...
    nargh standard CUE...
    maybe... hehehehhe...
