Over a period of some months, MEO has been in negotiation with a potential farminee in relation to MEO?s aggregate 70% interest. While Moby is not a party to the negotiations, it has been supportive and remains supportive of MEO?s farmout endeavours. Moby recognises the technical skills and financial heft that MEO?s proposed farminee could bring to the joint venture, should a transaction between MEO and its farminee be consummated.
MEO?s potential farminee has sought agreements from all participants in the WA-360-P joint venture. These matters are in relation to the possible establishment of a stand-alone LNG project (in the event of a successful drilling outcome), and also to amend some aspects of the Joint Venture Operating Agreement that exists between the WA-360-P joint venture participants. Moby has no issues with and has supported the matters sought by the proposed farminee.
