A trading halt can only be imposed by the Company for a period of 48 hours. Failing making the necessary announcement in that time, the Company has to enter into a suspension.There are certain privileges under the Corporations Act / Listing Rules that a Company will lose if it has been in suspension for a period of >5 trading days in the last rolling 12 month period.
