I am not sure this is true. I think the tenet is you must tell the market straight away about any material news, good or bad. If you cannot, you go into a trading halt and then suspension until you can get that news out to prevent a disorderly market - i.e. the market trading on an uninformed or not fully informed basis.
So, this news is either, very, very good, OR very, very bad.
