If the existing shareholders are the ones footing the bills as you say, then why aren't you offering to pay the rent and the wages??
You forget that many shareholders did not get their holdings through any actual contributions of equity to the company, but rather from purchasing the shares from a previous holder. So perhaps try not to be quite so self righteous
