Yes of course. That's why they have coordinated for the shares to be suspended on both exchanges at the same time.

What happens next is the shares stay suspended. If there isn't an announcement by market open tomorrow morning, the ASX will send them a "please explain" letter, asking for a new expected date for the announcement. The suspension will remain in place regardless as the announcement still has to be made.
Most likely we will have an update, either the announcement or another extension, before market open tomorrow. If not, I will have to agree that there's been a slip in the standard of market disclosures, as not having an announcement by tomorrow morning would create a great deal of uncertainty.
