We do agree on a dislike for short term traders and shorters in general. I find it satisfying if I think that these types (many of them are on HC, some I am sure with multi-nics) are caught out on the wrong side of a trade or having to actually bank roll/buy at stock because of a trading halt that left them holding. These types tend to distort the market and prey/feed on the long term holders.

I also agree that the timing of an announcement is pretty much irrelevant to long term holders but it does IMO give a indication of the BOD priorities, which is/should be a considered by shareholders.
