Why? Shareholders are in no way disadvantaged by the extension announcement coming out late in the day. It doesn't matter at all.

Just set an alert up with your broker for market sensitive announcements and go back to doing something productive. It doesn't matter if we're told at 8am or 8pm that the announcement isn't coming on that day as there is literally nothing you are required to do as a result.

And while it may have been obvious they would need to extend, there may be uncertainty about how much longer they need.

We don't know what is going on in the background and it seems highly unproductive to impose rigorous reporting like that, when the outcome makes no difference to anyone. They're focused on negotiations, let them focus on them. We will be informed when they're done.
