IMO , you underestimate the market and my understanding of how it works. Of course given these events there will be your so called ' stampede ' for the exits. But it will not end exactly the same IMO.
Depending on several separate and independent facts governing and surrounding both these companies and their ' different ' and separate projects - vis-a vis cash on hand etc.... There no doubt be at some point an equal and opposite ' stampede ' to collect your shares on the way through at some yet to be established price. And we all know that anything you or I say at the present moment in regards to this ' undetermined ' price is pure conjecture and absolute speculation.
Remember there are valid reasons some investors were in MTL ( not me ) , or VIC ( not I ) or indeed HDY ( I am ) . This will be an important fact when the time comes for these 2 companies to be re-instated. My guess there will be some varying interest for some when this takes place....
