Have just skimmed through the posts above. Easy to pick the holders and non-holders (don't believe it when disclosure says 'held' - that's not always true).
It's always good to have discussions about the pros and cons of any project. But it would be more balanced to look at the pros and cons together, eg. VEC has (or will have tomorrow) a highly significant asset. So why would they need to even consider Magna? is it because they need the cash asap and other deals are weeks away? is the difficult macro climate posing a challenge when raising large amounts of money? I don't think management are idiots who can't calculate interest on the loan. Their money is at stake here too. So if they choose to go with Magna they must have an escape plan, what could it be? I hate theories so won't offer any. All theories could be wrong anyway. Better to calmly wait and assess each announcement as it comes.
