When you are bunkering down and divesting assets in a large company, it can often be the ones that have the risk of consuming excess management time versus the immediacy of a return on that time investment. While I have not delved too deeply into the Anglo divestment strategy at the time or experienced something like this in a mining capacity, my logic tells me that a development project in an unstable DRC would not have been high on their retain lists during their strategic Exec sessions.
