re: Ann: Variation of Takeover Bid, Extension... I agree that the 21/2 week extension date for acceptance of the Pimco offer is unlikely to have been solely motivated by the slow uptake of the offer. Any extension for such reasons is normally made on the death knell. Therefore, something is afoot in relation to the composition of the offer itself or one of the existing large holders has asked for more time to consider it's position.
