POW has not mentioned VRB units designed specifically for your normal house energy storage situations.
However their intellectual property rights for their latest " State of the Art" Korean designed VRB could be licensed out to manufacturers looking for the most advanced VRB components and energy management software solutions to build scaled down VRB "Box" .. maybe fridge sized .. to ultimately sell into the global housing markets. If perchance POW do build a domestic sized unit, I would buy one or two.
The latest advances in the VRB development sector have seen a number of new entrants enter the household VRB manufacturing phase.Quite a few have tried this sector with the early tech designs that were too expensive (think membrane costs) and were usually in beta phase .. most went under unfortunately. Market adaptation was and probably still is. Consumer perception is a function marketing.
I am sure the household market for VRB's will take over from all other battery technologies in the domestic PV energy storage markets, eventually .. it took a bit of time for Electric Vehicles to get traction in the market, Big Oil mentality was the hurdle to overcome with that .. Vanadium will overcome Lithium!

By the way, the world is not going see a shortage of Vanadium ore supplies any time soon. The cost to covert the ore to Vanadium Pentoxide was the limiting factor and new beneficiation process appear to have overcome some major hurdles in previous processing.
