The Clever Buoy is poised to capitalise on this growing problem at beaches particularly given that alternative shark protection options are very costly, transient and in some cases environmentally damaging. I know drones are being trialled as an alternative to fixed wing aircraft patrols but these only provide coverage whilst in flight and require an operator, recharging etc. The Clever Buoy could very well be a reliable and cost effective alternative to other methods which seems plagued with difficulties. They would presumably only be deployed at popular locations with the infrastructure to relay the sonar warnings.
