The wife reminds me almost daily that I am not all that sophisticated...

However - and sorry if I still do not understand this 100% clearly - in your 3rd paragraph, are you saying to "register" with the company or the broker?

Across my portfolio, I would not want to register with all sorts of brokers that I do not do any business with.

But say my horse - HARTNELL - comes first today - are you saying that I, as a newly sophisticated investor, should then ring up all the companies where I would not mind participating in future CRs and register my potential interest and they would then actually come to me at their next CR?

Again appreciate clarification from whoever is happy to provide it.
