Shareholders in this part of the world have grown overly fond of Dividends & don't get me started on the obsession with fully franked.
As the owners we are, our priority should be investing in the business to grow our asset.
Once all options for growth or paying down of debt are exhausted, should the paying out of dividends be considered.
This won't suit many retirees seeking an income producing portfolio however. Alternative strategies would need to be employed to compensate.
