Fair enough poker. I thought the Supreme Court only heard major cases where the claim for compensation exceeded a certain limit. I didn't think you could simply lodge a case on a minor matter less than 250k. Much likely higher.
If this is the case and likely comp if defeated is below the Supreme Court it would be heard in Lower jurisdiction court Just making a comment could be totally wrong.
Regarding tactics used by lawyers all I would say these are only used if they can, not because it's because they can simply adopt this tactic.
