ASX Release UPDATE - PENNY’S FIND GOLD MINE (WA) Gold miner, Empire Resources Limited (‘Empire’, ASX code: ERL) provides the following update on progress of commissioning of the open pit at the Company’s new Penny’s Find gold mine, 50km northeast of Kalgoorlie, WA. The mine is now operating with two excavator fleets for 24 hours a day, and more than 500,000 tonnes of waste has been removed., Progress is on schedule with mining currently on the third bench and the amount of free dig material meeting expectations. The main gold ore zone has now been exposed with ore being stockpiled on the ROM* pad in preparation for haulage to the processing mill due early next quarter.

Empire’s Managing Director, Mr David Sargeant: said “With full scale open pit mining now underway, work will continue 24/7 to stockpile ore according to the mine plan in readiness to haul for processing.”
