They do need a lot of cash to appraise and develop this. Alcoa is looking to share the risk and it appears to me that this is why it is being delayed. This seems to have been a slow excruciating process so far. Small cap energy company's are finding it hard to raise cash and get financing in this market.
It has been reported that alcoa of Australia and Transerv energy are engaged with several parties as they seek to divest a portion of their holdings in the Warro gas field. It was also reported that they will decide whether to continue with a sale, or proceed with a proposed drilling program, by June 2013.
Lets hope we have some positive news on this front soon.
