re: Ann: Update on Rooderand Project Legal Pr... Oh, and I just went back and reread the recent announcements.

Three points:

1. I get the feeling that the 'preliminary stage' capital requirements and merger discussions notes are inclusive not exclusive. Read: the ongoing discussions are with the same party!?!

2. Probably no coincidence that the company's asset holdings have been very recently 'simplified', i.e. the sale of Panton paves the way for a pure African miner to make a bid (not to mention the project economics did not stack up).

3. Could NewCo make an offer OR perhaps another ASX listed company such as AQP or ZIM may now want to expand away from Zimbabwe? Implants already do our smelting, and everyone in Africa wants more cheap easy to mine resources!
