allens, i think BHP are feeling pretty bruised after their internal fallout and the resulting aggressive/progressive development of S32. They may be prepared to pay a premium to close compelling deals. Of course that would effect future negotiations on all fronts if one player is prepared to break ranks and deprive competition of good green fields.
