The new MAGAMA minister, Teresa Ribera, Minister for Ecological Transition of Spain, is currently occupied with resetting renewable energy policies and goals.

We cannot infer she and the Spain's new Socialist Sanchez government is hostile to HFR's proposed mine, though it would be safe to say they will require the most stringent environmental standards on any new project - if only to demonstrate the new government's environmental credentials.
