Bollinger bands uses amount of shares traded and prices shares were traded at to highlight volatility in sp. When they squeeze it means it is trading at low volatility which then bullish momentum has a lot of brokers and investors purchasing stocks. And bearish momentum causing them to sell and push price lower. Its not crystal ball analysis but its a great indicator of whats happening with the sp. Its always good to be atleast a step ahead of the crowd sometimes.
