" Let this sink in:"
Despite a short spurt from the glass half empty brigade late last year, the SHrs of far, are talking about the positives, not the bloody negatives of their company.
Yeah, they found oil, which means its gunna cost em more bloody money to fund the drilling campaign to prove up the reserves, but ya know what? they got the money.
Despite the amount of shares on issue.
Stop ya bloody bitchin, man or women ,its distressing to see so called investors continually bitchin.
Roll with it or take the hit.
Apparently far had "outside influences out of its control",but OBL hasnt,ya full of it.
"What is more, by converting gas into more valuable products, including diesel, kerosene and naphtha, GTL also adds considerably to its value. For example, 10 000 standard cubic feet (scf), worth $30 at the wellhead in many locations in North America -— or even less if it cannot be easily taken to market — can be converted into a barrel of oil products worth $100 as crude or even more as finished fuels. Also, in contrast to gas, oil is an internationally traded product that can be transported by a number of means. Since oil is similarly priced around the world, GTL can act as both a hedge and an arbitrage opportunity for gas producers, such as those in North America, who are faced with persistently low gas prices (see Figure 1)."

Aviation fuel is circa US $72ish a barrel as of today.
Given the AUS $ is expected to drop further against the US $,a sensible and prudent CEO from say virgin or qantas should take an extremely large position in OBL with the express demand that a GTL plant be built to make Aviation fuel only.
Qantas and Shell aviation biofuel feasibility study
In 2013 Qantas and Shell Australia completed a landmark piece of research to understand the economic viability of producing aviation biofuel in Australia on a commercial scale.
The study, conducted with the support of the Federal Government, found that an aviation biofuel industry is technically viable but significant obstacles remain. Identifying natural oils as a proven source material, the study modelled a plant capable of producing 1.1 billion litres of renewable fuels, including jet fuel and diesel, per year using existing supply chain infrastructure.

- Feedstock. The volume of sustainable natural oil feedstocks available at a competitive price in Australia is not sufficient to power a commercial scale biofuel plant. This volume and price gap has potential to be filled by increased investment, research and development in production of emerging feedstocks such as algae and pongamia.
- Infrastructure. While existing brownfield refining locations could be used for producing aviation biofuel, new infrastructure would be required, with associated capital costs.
- Policy. Supportive policy will be needed to facilitate the development of an advanced biofuels (aviation biofuel and renewable diesel) industry in Australia.
