6However franking credits and those attached to TLS or other stocks with an Australian resident holding requirement is not to my mind a political issue but a macro economic issue for the Australian economy and a microeconomic issue to stocks predominantly with business operations in Australia.
A lot of domestic Australian tex resident investors will need to be replaced in TLS by offshore ones. I think that TLS has a national resident holding requirement, does it not? that could create buyer and seller, demand and supply disequilibrium IMHO.
it might be impossible for tls to replace Australian domestic investors given the franking changes, so the shares could drop.
Goven the Turkish situation and even the future crystal ball, it could all be moot in any event.
as I have posted previously in this forum, TLS has survived geopolitical risk and ALP Governments before and empirical research and technical analysis of the TLS chart over time tells you it could do so again.
