They don't pay the tax at all.
The company that they own pays the tax.
It pays the tax on the profit it has made. The company has has no tax free threshold.
As they pay no personal tax they are not entitled to claim a credit
If they pay no personal tax and get a credit for the tax paid by the company then no tax is paid at all
Someone has to pay the tax.
