What's important at this point in you investing career is to get a solid grounding in Value Investing, while learning about the spec side by closely reading the statements of "Uprampers" (those who want to comment so as to increase interest in the stock, mostly because they themselves want to sell or keep the price up for other reasons) or "Down Rampers" who want to opposite to happen so that they can spread fear & get people to sell the stock so they can buy it lower. After a while you get to sort the wheat from the chaff.
