Going to be very interesting to see what numbers and detail emerges in regards to defending and trying to either get a higher bid or giving enough meat to holders so they choose to stick with existing management?
What have YOW management got they can leverage off and give to holders that they will believe? The old better the existing than the new unknown strategy won't have enough legs IMO even when looking at the new folk and their history as most small holders just don't do enough research.
Big gamble by anyone who bought in hoping for a bid increase ( its not all cash anyway so who knows what real $(cent) value is ) or distribution of cash. It is a amazingly crafty bid as KBC gets cash on their books but rather than distribute it they hand out some pennys and their own KBC stock of unknown value ( and reputation) which as market is so thin can be manipulated. YOW management got themselves into this position and not sure if they have the skill or advice to counter it? KBC pretty much have control in many aspects but not management control and no counter bid will happen with them n the books so as soon as they have full control IMO YOW will be heavily discounted as any YOW benefit will be distributed, loaned or otherwise moved about etc . Will KBC value increase- probably not ....
What is WAM strategy? Take a bit of both pies as it couldn't get any worse and at some point may be valued differently? I don't see WAM as a YOW white knight I think it is just a small punt and leveraging off cash at bank value and with holding already in KBC trying to milk a bit extra value? Just a problem of how WAM ever exits
