You will find you can sell under $500 worth of shares with Commsec but you cannot buy under $500 worth unless you are already holding (eg ....your holding is now worth $ 400 and you want to take it back up to $500 you can purchase $100 worth plus the brokerage) Commsec charge $10 brokerage for trades under $1000 . I know nothing of Ord Minnett tho. Cheers
