It takes a bit of a thump to dishearten me as I am generally an optimistic person; but I have now become disheartened.
Why?
I really don't know what the company is actually planning from a drilling pov. Today's news about using these funds to also explore Cuba and Orient again comes something as a shock.
Cuba, whilst promising, has been expensive so far and seemingly difficult. Last news there was 18 October. However, we have had news recently about drilling for gold at Doolgunna near Ross's Reef. What's happening there? Abandoned? Now tackle Cuba again?
Orient, whilst also promising, has not produced much to date excepting the discovery of 3ms of sulphides back in March last year. It's been on the backburner for quite a long time now, and presumably because it was either too difficult or there were other priorities. Now they say these funds are going to be partly used to explore back there again.
They've got me stuffed, I can tell you.
Wodger continues to get explored, as it should be, but not compromised I would hope by being deprived of funds to properly explore it, funds being used to explore Cuba and Orient instead.
And what about Forrest and Big Billy? What's happening there BoD? There has been no mention for a while in the narrative about exploring there apart from what has been in the back section of the various JORC Tables that have issued. This was in Monday's ann!
Further work
Additional RC drilling, diamond drilling and DHEM at Wodger .
First pass aircore drilling at Big Billy (conductive EM trend defined from recent MLEM survey) Additional RC drilling at Forrest (conductive EM trend defined from recent MLEM survey)
But these words were also in the 31 July report, and the one before that, and etc
Question: what exploration is really happening at BB and F? Anything?
The Forrest-Wodger-Big Billy trend is where the main efforts should be concentrated imo. Please don't spread the company's hard-earned money elsewhere and underexplore F-W-FF. Please!!
And I haven't mentioned Chunderloo yet, have I! Have the neon sings there been extinguished? There was a fanfare when announcing this just last month (5 july):
HIGH PRIORITY IP DRILL TARGETS IDENTIFIED AT CHUNDERLOO
HIGHLIGHTS Drilling to commence as soon as possible on two high priority drill targets identified from the recent Induced Polarisation (IP) survey at the Chunderloo Project area (Chunderloo & Cobra Prospects) The Chunderloo anomaly is associated with the known Cu‐Au mineralisation (non‐JORC compliant resource of 22,000t @ 5.4g/t Au and 1.6% Cu) and extends to depths below, and along strike from the existing drilling and defined resource The Cobra anomaly is high priority gold target and aircore drilling will commence upon approval of the Permit of Work (POW) to test the shallowest position of this IP anomaly Deeper RC drilling will follow the first phase aircore drilling
Auris Minerals Ltd (ASX:AUR) is pleased to announce it will commence drilling as soon as possible on the Chunderloo Project after two high priority drill targets were identified from ground InducedPolarisation (IP) surveys.
Now, Chunderloo is interesting, and it looks like something completely different to what else AUR has, but does Chunderloo get a mention in today's ann? Nooooo!
C'mon BoD, get back on track. Also, keep us informed about Forrest, Big Billy, Ross's Reef and Chunderloo. Concentrate on limited areas, not spread things thinly as it seems that you are going to do by today's ann. Priorities are Wodger -Forrest-Big Billy and Chunderloo.
To be honest, I don't like the way we are headed if today's news is any indication.
