Those that have held for a long time have seen announcements that buoyed their spirits, one only needs to read the threads after a juicy ann. Calls of leaving x cents behind and scorn those that question or are of a differing opinion than the herd. Time passes, some announcements never eventuate or go well beyond expected commencement or leave people scratching their head wondering what's happening. Do you expect everyone to maintain a positive attitude? When management can lay a path of consistency that their words correlates to actuality, lessen the shifting of goal posts and bumf#@#ery, and $$ flowing. If they can show that, then trust and belief levels rise, in that you will find your positive zen.
