TD 007 was designed to test the pegmatite intersected in TD 003 and down- dip extensions to the anomalous lithium analyses from samples from Trench TT17-09. A description of the geology encountered in TD 007 is as follows:
- A brown saprolite hosting quartz-muscovite-pyrite veins and white aplite dykes was intersected to 36.15m
- A chlorite altered massive hornblende granite with mafic intrusive units and continuing quartz-muscovite-pyrite veining was drilled to 53.6m.
- A mafic intrusive to 56.8m was followed by hornblende granite to 66.6m. Further alternations of fine grained mafic intrusive and quartz-feldspar granite both interested by quartz- muscovite-pyrite veining and aplite veining was intersected to 112.1m. From 112.1m to 127.5m a pink, variably silicified pegmatite was intersected.
- From 127.5m to 135.5m a quartz-feldspar granite was drilled. From 135.5m to the end of the hole at 139.m a hornblende granite was drilled.
- All depths are down-hole drilled depths.
