I am a new investor and originally thought that shares I bought today would qualify for the rights issue. I noticed the "Ex Entitlement" heading on my depth screen and pulled the order. Tried to ring the investor hotline but it was only a recording. Resubmitted the order after they were purged at 10:20 adjusting the quantity and price basing my quantity on no rights for this buy

On the strength of settlement at T+3 I believe that my purchase will not be on 'record' by 14/5/10 at 19:00.

Am I right or just confused again?

PS: the notice released on 11/5/10 states that the 70cent price for shares under the rights issue would be 22.2% below the theoretical ex-rights price of $0.8272 per security. With the close today of $0.745 the discount is only about 6%.
