I must admit I had a good laugh at the Triple C Research Report when I read that GMC has reasonable power costs compared with Australia.

"- Start-up power supply available and economical - Power costs are reasonable compared to Australia but power is a major cost"

Are these Triple C analysts idiots??

The fact is Indonesian electricity/ power is almost as expensive as Australia, if the price of power for the GMC project is costing US$0.11c/KWh  as quoted in the Triple C Research Report then is right up there close to Australian prices.

So we have a price of Aussie power going from $55.30/MWh ( US$0.044c/KWh) toAUD$109.70/MWh ( US$0.09c/KWh  up to AUD$129.96/MWh (US$0.10c/KWh).

I know that QLD electricity has gone ballistic, as I've shut down my manufacturing business some time ago, and decided it was time to retire.

Well, I guess we can say that Gulf Manganese power prices will be cheaper than QLD.
AUD$239.60 MWh = US$0.19c/KWh
No manufacturing business will survive in QLD, just like GMC won't survive and thrive with US$0.11c power prices in Indonesia.
Power prices will make OR break ferro alloy producers, you only need to  look at problems in South Africa.
