I think it comes down to how large your position is in the stock. If you have an over large position then this bid could be somewhat a relief. (Directors and yourself?). However, if you a strategic trader, then you have been pushed out of your strategy and you may see the best option as rejecting the bid. Hate doesn't come into it.
