When it comes to the acreage valuation of US shale transaction, we have discussed those issues here long time ago.
You can see the table below which was posted by me on the thread of ”Acreage valaution of us shale gas assets” on 27/07/2011.
You can see on the the list below that BHP paid $22,000 per acre to Petrohawk for a drilled acreage (proven to be prospective) on July 2011. The cheapest transaction for a Eagle Ford acreage was between Reliance Ind. (India) and Pioneer, which was $7,551 per acre.
As you know NSE is buying a prospect from a drilled, even under a production area.
