I found SDI through my own stock screening which had identified the company as undervalued with strong cashflow. Having had SDI on the radar for some time I unfortunately bought after the stock had already appreciated quite a bit. I'm now 30% in the red. If I'd bought at the time SDI appeared on my radar, I'd still be well in the green.

As it happens, some of the posts in this forum contributed to my confidence in buying SDI. Nonetheless, the decision to buy was my own entirely. On the whole I think that if a lurker on these forums is capable of identifying the likes of madamswer, marsc, travelightor, etc. as intelligent and wise investors then they are also capable of taking responsibility for their own investing decisions. There certainly seems to be many hot copper members who are only looking for immediate buy or sell advice, but I think they are likely to overlap very little with those who see the value in the analysis contributed by the above-named posters.
